Use Our Tracker to Follow VRS-Related Legislation

During each General Assembly session, VRS tracks legislation that may affect benefits, policies and procedures.

We began tracking bills at the start of the 2026 session in January. Now, more than halfway through the session, most bills have not passed their respective chambers. Please visit our Legislation page for the most recent information concerning proposed legislation related to VRS.

Email VRS Forms Securely Using Proofpoint

To submit VRS forms with personal information to VRS, use Proofpoint to encrypt and deliver the message safely.

Tips for Using Proofpoint:

  • If you’ve never used Proofpoint before, you must register with your work email address and provide your employer code. Visit varetire.org/securesend and follow the verification process and you will be set to begin submitting documents.
  • Sign in to your Proofpoint account using the email and password created when you registered.
  • Send an email to vrssecuremessage@varetire.org and attach the VRS forms you’d like to be delivered. Make sure no filename exceeds 40 characters. You can attach several documents to one email message.
  • Don’t put anything in the body of the email except your five-digit employer code and the VRS form number. In the subject line, put the name of your organization.
  • Do not send password-protected or encrypted documents and files; they cannot be processed.
  • Only use Proofpoint to submit forms to VRS. If you have related questions or comments, do not include them in your Proofpoint submission. Send them to your employer relationship manager or use the secure message function in myVRS Navigator.
