VRS-Led Seminars Help Employees Prepare for Retirement

Seats are still open for upcoming in-person Retirement Education Seminars. These seminars are designed for members within five to 10 years of retirement.

Sessions are free, and slots are still available (select Book an Appointment) in:

  • Martinsville – May 19 | Patrick and Henry Community College | 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Orange – July 29 | Orange County Public Safety Building | 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Interested in Hosting a Seminar?

Employers interested in hosting a future seminar should note:

  • Facilities must accommodate at least 75 attendees.
  • Sessions must be open to all VRS members.
  • Smaller employers may consider partnering with a neighboring employer to host a session.

Download Key Financial Reports From myVRS Navigator

VRS-participating employers are required to present documentation to auditors in support of their accounting practices for retirement plans (GASB 68) and other post-employment benefit plans (GASB 75). You can access and download these reports directly from myVRS Navigator.

How to Download Your Reports

  1. Log in to myVRS Navigator.
    If you don’t have access, check with your organization’s Security Administrator.
  2. Select the Reports menu.
  3. Click Generated Report.
  4. Filter your results.

Enter your five-digit employer code in the Report Name field to view all VRS-provided financial reports.

Email VRS Forms Securely Using Proofpoint

To submit VRS forms with personal information, use Proofpoint to encrypt and deliver the message safely.

Here are the steps:

  1. Sign into your Proofpoint account. (If this is your first time using Proofpoint, complete the verification process. You’ll need your five-digit VRS employer code.)
  2. Click New Message.
  3. In the subject line, enter the name of your organization.
  4. Attach the form(s) to the message.
NOTE

When submitting forms through Proofpoint, ensure that filenames do not exceed 40 characters, attachments are not password protected or encrypted and the message body includes the employer code and form number(s).

Messages that do not meet these requirements may be delayed or rejected.
