Deferral change reports capture monthly employee contribution election changes. Using these reports allows employers to:
- Run payroll accurately.
- Ensure employee contributions are invested without delay.
- Avoid penalties associated with failures to implement election changes.
Reviewing and implementing the changes on these reports each month is a key step in keeping retirement contributions on track.
Accessing the Reports
Deferral change reports for the Hybrid 457 and Commonwealth of Virginia (COV) 457 plans are generated the day after the last business day of each month.
Step-by-step instructions for downloading the reports are available in the Voya PayCloud Deferral/Feedback File Guide.
Tips for Pulling the Correct Report
From the SponsorWeb landing page, select either Hybrid 457 or COV 457 before entering Data Transfer.
Be sure to choose the correct Activity Period.
- Reports are stored under the month in which they are run.
Two Examples:
April 2026
- Last business day: Tuesday, April 30.
- Report run date: Friday, May 1.
- If pulling the report in May, select Current Month.
May 2026
- Last business day: Friday, May 29.
- Report run date: Saturday, May 30.
- If pulling the report in June, select May 2026.
A report will always be available if accessed correctly. If no deferral changes occur during the month, the report will contain no records.
