myVRS Security Tip: Use Mobile Number and Personal Email

With so many bad actors bombarding us with emails and texts, it can seem harder than ever to maintain communications channels with trusted contacts.
One easy way for employees to cut through the noise and improve their security: Ensure their personal email addresses and mobile phone numbers are always up to date on VRS systems. They should log in to myVRS and update their contact information as needed.
Remind employees that keeping their contact information current:
- Strengthens account security, especially when combined with two-factor authentication on their myVRS or Voya DCP accounts (as applicable).
- Ensures that VRS communications are delivered promptly and accurately.
- Provides easy, continuing access to VRS benefits during life changes, such as a new job.
Spammers sometimes send texts or emails seeking to “phish” personal information from recipients. Please remind employees that VRS will never ask a member for personal information via email or text.
