Employer Relationship Team

Employer relationship managers provide professional and technical assistance on benefit coverage and plan design, traveling across the state to meet with governing bodies and decision-makers considering VRS participation or expanded benefits for their employees. They also host forums where employers learn about new VRS initiatives, share feedback, and network with peers, often with participation from VRS third-party administrators.

The VRS Retirement Outreach team provides support, education and resources to Plan 1 & Plan 2 members in six regions across the state: Central, Northern, Southwest, Tidewater, Valley and Western. A dedicated outreach counselor is available in each region.
